The Combined Charging System (CCS2) is a standard for charging electric vehicles, which uses the
Combo 2 connector to provide power at up to 200 Kilowatts. This connector is an extension of the IEC
62196 Type 2 connector, with two additional direct current (DC) contacts to allow high-power DC fast
charging.
• The CCS2 series of EV Charging Connectors are IEC 62196-3, Mode 4, EVSE to vehicle
solution that provides low contact resistance and a minimum of 10,000 mating cycles.
• Conforming to the IEC 62196-3 standard, KST has designed and developed single-phase
charging solutions suitable for Australia, Europe, India and Thailand.
