Design
The horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps of the GL / GLA / GLVB series are multi-stage pumps with closed impellers. They are based on a perfected modular system, that means all hydraulic components are always identical for the different types. GLA is a complete series of self-priming pumps, a high efficiency vacuum pump being integrated in the pump. The individual stage casings are sealed by means of O-rings and tensioned axially by external connecting bolts. The combination of impellers of different diameters permits optimum application. To improve the keeping pressure (NPSH-value), a suction impeller with increased inlet diameter can be applied as first stage impeller. These horizontal centrifugal pumps can be supplied as complete units with baseplate or baseframe and contact protection device acc. to DIN 31 001 part 1, the vertical pump type as complete unit with pump foot and flange motor.
