These baths are designed for use in a wide variety of routine laboratory applications where linear shaking is required at controlled temperatures. They feature high-grade stainless steel tanks enclosed in robust steel outer cases.
The heater mat and temperature sensor are mounted underneath the tank, thus ensuring temperature uniformity and an open workspace, whilst being easy to clean effectively. An independent over-temperature cut-out provides protection in case the bath operates with insuffcient or no water.
The simple to use digital controls consist of a highly visible three-digit display and membrane keypad. The digital control system provides reproducibility of set temperature and accurate repetition of sensitive procedures. The shaking mechanism is operated via a single on / off key.
Optional stainless steel trays and racks are available to hold a wide variety of standard vessels and at bottomed asks. The shaking trays are required for placing fat-bottom asks directly into the bath. The accessory test tube racks accommodate various sizes of micro- and test tubes.
NB. Flasks and vessels should never be placed directly on the tank base without the appropriate accessory tray. Failure to do this will result in poor temperature control, localised heating and the premature failure of the baths.
Please note: the user must select a suitable tray. If the bath is to be used above ~50°C, then a lid should also be used to improve energy effciency and temperature stability
