Inside caliper gauge IM-880 series sets the distance between the measuring element facing outward to the standard size by ring gauge or micrometer at first. After the scale of interlocking scale plate matched to the zero point by turning the outer frame, inserted to measure the gauge head portion to the inner diameter portion to be measured. Read the amount of displacement of the guidelines from the zero point of the scale of that time. A displacement amount that has been read to the reference size plus or minus value is the dimensions of the inner diameter. The series comes with alternate measuring element that can be set exact dimensions depending on the magnitude of the inner diameter.
Conversely, the outer caliper gauge reads the value across the workpiece at two measuring element facing inwardly.
