CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES
Pump consists of a number of radially split sections i.e. interstage and side channel casing bolted between suction and delivery casing. Models available at 1450 rpm / 50 Hz.
SPECIFICATION
End suction, balut type with top centreline discharge. Suction and discharge nozzles as well as the supporting Feet are cast integral with the casing.
CASING
Smooth hydraulic passages ensure high efficiency.
IMPELLER
The impellers are of regenerative open type. Hydraulic balancing of impellers is achieved by balancing holes. Floating impellers minimize wear and tear .
SHAFT
The shaft is supported by antifriction bearings to take residual axial thrust and prevent axial float or radial run out. Shaft is sealed by pressurized water in stuffing box.
STUFFING BOX
The stuffing box is sealed by gland packing OR by mechanical seal. Cooling jet is provided in stuffing box for pumps with more than 2 stages.
BEARINGS
Deep groove ball bearings are grease lubricated.
DIRECTION OF ROTATION
Standard - Clockwise viewed from driving end.
Optional - Anticlockwise viewed from driving end.
DRIVE
Pumps are driven by electric motors OR engines.
FLANGES
KRN pumps are provided with raised face round shape companion flanges.
