Producers of rotary transmissions prefer simplified seal designs. This
can be achieved by means of an
internally
sealing
rotary sealing
set.
It consists of wear resistant glide rings of low friction and an O-Ring as energizer. The rotary sealing set is suitable mainly for
applications where the pressure alternates from one side of the seal to the other, such as pivots for rotating track rings,
swivel
joints, hose reels, and in
machine tool
hydraulics. If the sealing set is used as an end seal, it is recommended to install a wiper ring at the end of the components.
