TriSep X-20

The TriSep X-20 is a new generaton,highly durable,RO membrane specifically designed for high fouling feed waters.Invented by DuPont and developed by TriSep,the X-20 is based on a new and unique membrane chemistry.

X-20 is a thin film composite membrane,featuring a new polyamide-urea copolymer barrier layers.Standard composite RO membrane ('344) are based on a traditional polymer,which has a negative surface charge at most operating pH's.The surface of the X-20 membrane has residual amino groups while the traditional '344 polymide membranes have residual carboxylic acid groups.This difference in surface chemistry creates the unique membrane propoties that produce improved performance in a wide variety of feed waters.
