Features Plant Microtome allows easy preparation of thin, uniform and highly precise tissue segments from raw plant samples without pretreatment such as paraffin embedding or freezing. While pinching, stretching or bonding a plant leaf, stem, root, fruit or growing point at the pith tip, rotate the knife(replaceable blade) to prepare the cut specimen of 0.01 to 0.7mm. Thick stem can be cut by directly holding with a fixing bracket. Every time the knife rotates, it goes through the water tank so that any attachment such as sample fragments, pith fragments or oil ingredient will be washed away in the water to maintain the knife always clean. Manual and automatic types of Plant Microtome are available. With a manual microtome, rotate the cutting/sending scale with the left hand while rotating the handle with the right hand. Make sure of the thickness of each sample until you get used to the system. You will soon be able to repeat the process more smoothly and easily prepare beautiful cut specimens regardless of their thickness. It is light and easy to carry.
