Positive displacement pumps
Varisco has a wide range of displacement pumps in cast iron and stainless steel: the V internal gear pump up to 10" for viscous liquids, also available in an ATEX version and with magnetic drive, aimed at industrial plants, and the VULCAN progressive cavity pump for liquids of any viscosity with high percentages of solids. For the drainage sector, the LB diaphragm pump is also available up to 6" and there is the new THOR piston pump, designed specifically for wellpoint plants.
V Series pumps are internal gear positive displacement rotary pumps. The flow is generated by two gears: the rotor and idler, one inside the other, separated by a crescent. As the gears rotate, liquid is drawn into the spaces created between the gears and the crescent. When the gears mesh, the liquid is forced out of the pump.

-Smooth flow, without pulses or pressure peaks which could cause vibrations in the pipework
-Rugged, heavy duty construction. Low rotor peripheral speed. External pedestal bearing housing with oversize ball bearing to take axial and radial loads
-Preheating. Heating chamber cast integral with the casing or mounted on the cover or gland.
-By-pass relief valve. This is mounted on the pump and can easily be adjusted
